Welcome to the 2018-2019 school year at Discovery Elementary! My name is Nicole Wilson and I will be your teacher for the upcoming year. I have been planning and preparing the classroom for your arrival. I am looking forward to working with you and your child in reaching his or her full potential. We will have many wonderful experiences and opportunities to learn and grow in the days ahead.
I wanted to take some time and tell you a little bit about myself. This will be my seventh year working in the district, but my first year teaching second grade with Williamston. My previous six years have been spent as the full day preschool teacher with Little Hornets and a kindergarten teacher. I graduated from Spring Arbor University with a BA in Elementary Education, with an early childhood (ZS) endorsement. Currently I am working to obtain my Masters Degree in Educational Technology. Outside of school I enjoy camping, gardening/canning, reading, researching new teaching ideas and spending time with my family. My husband and I live in Williamston with our tenth grade daughter Eva, our six-year-old daughter Harper (in kindergarten), our two-year-old son Stone and two dogs.
I have created this class website so you are able to locate important information happening in our classroom and find easy access to the links we use on a daily basis in the classroom. On this site you will find a monthly calendar, links to RazKids, Reflexmath, the school lunch menus, our classroom newsletter and much more. If there is something else you would like to see added to our site please let me know!
